Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers today who helped with our Monthly Cleanup (look at all the trash they collected). Many volunteers also participated in National Gardening Day at the MK Educational Pollinator Garden by learning about pollinators, planting and mulching. A special thanks to our FLAP Board members, Dave and Jim and Pollinator Garden Committee leads, Margaret, Lisa, Diana and Philip. Maeve who worked very hard on Sat/Sun (Super Jr. Volunteer). Thank you for helping our Lake Accotink Park!

I am sorry I had to miss this! Thank you to all who cleaned up. I’m happy the pollinator event was a success too! ♻️🦋
National Gardening Day is this Sunday 11am at the Lake Accotink Park Pollinator Garden! Please join us and our Experts as we not only learn about Pollinators and Pollinator Plants, and receive pollinator plant seeds, but also have the opportunity to join others to plant pollinator plants. Open to all ages.
Additionally, recent rains have resulted in hundreds of ponds of trash needing removal at our Lake Accotink Park. Please join us this Sunday for our monthly cleanup from 9-12. We are excited to announce, thank you Diana, we have added a Recycling Station, for cleanup activity only. Register online flapaccotink.org Events tab.
See you this Sunday!
