Face & Rock Painting, Fishing, Raffles (Bikes, & Bike Gear, Gift Baskets, Gift Cards, Outdoor Equip and more) Popcorn, Bike Classes, Interactive Nature Stations and Walks, History Lectures & Displays.

Yesterday I had a chance to sit down with Chang Yul Lee of the Korea Times to discuss the 60th Anniversary celebration of Lake Accotink Park. Thanks to organizations like Friends of Lake Accotink Park and their dedication to our amazing outdoor recreational spaces, we continue to be able to enjoy this oasis. The Lake Accotink Park Day (27 August) Proclamation introduced by Supervisor Walkinshaw to the Fairfax Board of Supervisors this week, was approved.  Come out and celebrate Lake Accotink Parks 60th Anniversary on 27 August 11-4pm., All free events, activities, raffles, fishing, popcorn, guided nature walks, face and rock painting, interactive nature exhibits, boating, expert presentations of the Dam, and the Parks rich history.  The dredging and bridge project leaders will have displays and up to date information on-hand.  Meet and listen to our special guests and experts, stop by the Bartlett Tree clinic receive a free tree, while you are there take a tour of our 900 plant (14 variety) pollinator garden. 

Event starts at 11am be sure to pick up your special 60th Anniversary Lake Accotink Park edition a tri-fold from the parking guides or at our FLAP raffle table across from the marina. Questions:contact@flapaccotink.org
